Missouri's Republican Senator is blaming government and industry for the ongoing environmental crisis in the Gulf.Senator Kit Bond says BP and the Minerals Management Service are responsible for the lack of emergency planning.
"BP was supposed to have a plan ready for a catastrophic event, and of course it was the job of the MMS of the FG to make sure they did. Well, BP didn't have one obviously, and MMS apparently didn't tell them they had to have one."
Bond also blamed the Obama administration for waiting so long to approve the construction of sand berms along the Louisiana coast to do an environmental impact study.
