This year's Roots Blues and Barbeque Festival is trying something new that might affect your spending. Festival entry now requires tickets that cost between 10 and 15 dollars in advance and 15 to 25 dollars the day of. Some ticket advantages are the acts on the main stages and the right to carry an open container in the area. But there is still ten blocks of festival activities that do not require a ticket. Thumper Entertainment's Richard King says tickets are reasonable for this big a festival."We didn't want to charge the 50, 60, to 100 dollars that some people charge. We just wanted to, hopefully we can cover our expenses with the bands and production and this we think will do it if everybody supports."
