Moberly Program Aims to Clean Up Property
(2009-09-09)
MOBERLY, MO
(KBIA) -
The City of Moberly likes to reward its residents for a job well done especially when it involves the upkeep of their property. The Community Spotlight program gives a monthly award for the Most Outstanding property. And, an award of sorts for the Most Distressed property. Debbie Woods won the Most Outstanding award for her house in the month of July. She likes to spend time working on her yard and believes the program is beneficial."It should give everyone an incentive to improve their yards and clean up. We have a nice town. It's just people need to take the time and it doesn't have to be a lot of hours spent outside."
The city gave Woods a 50-dollar credit for her August utility bill. The winner of the Most Distressed property won a 50-dollar credit for trash and debris disposal. © Copyright 2012, KBIA
