Interim President Steps In at Truman State
I think we are really getting the best of both worlds where he has ample connections to both the university and the Kirksville community yet on the other hand can bring a new perspective to the school and probably give us some new and fresh ideas that we would certainly be attentive to.
Krueger left Truman State and served as president for Winona State University from 1989 to 2005. He starts his tenure October 16, a day after Dixon's last day. Dixon resigned after she and the Board of Governors had conflicting views about the future of the school.

(KBIA) -
A former dean at Truman State University has accepted the position of interim president. Darrell Krueger had served as dean of instruction and vice president for academic affairs at Truman State for sixteen years. The Board of Governors at Truman State appointed Krueger after Barbra Dixon stepped down as president last week. Board of Governors Chair Mark Wasinger says it's nice to have someone with Krueger's experience and long-lasting connection to Truman State. I think we are really getting the best of both worlds where he has ample connections to both the university and the Kirksville community yet on the other hand can bring a new perspective to the school and probably give us some new and fresh ideas that we would certainly be attentive to.
