Some of the options being considered are a partnership with another paper, reducing the number of print products and focusing more on online conduct, or going electronic only. Forsee says he's confident the leaders at the journalism school will find a way to make the paper more financially stable.
It is one of the icons of the university. It is an important role that the print media plays in providing the best journalism school in the world and I'm sure the stewars of that particular resource particuarly the deand and the interim dean will find ways to invent and reinvent along the way, the financial means necessary to support that.
A committee comprised of faculty members, administrators and industry leaders will present its recommendations to the Missouri publishing association board Wednesday. Forsee says next week is an important one for the journalism school--because in addition to making a decision about the future of the Missourian, the j-school will also be celebrating its centennial.
