(2008-03-17)
COLUMBIA, MO
(KBIA) -
Bob Pund is joining the race for Missouri's 25th District. He declared his candidacy today on the M-U campus and released an announcement via a video on YouTube. Currently there's one republican candidate and two other democratic candidates in addition to Pund. While he considers the other two democratic contenders fantastic Pund believes he is in more of a unique position.I am paralyzed from the shoulders down and I know how important the healthcare system is and the weaknesses of it. And I'm in a unique position to talk about that. I mean I'm very motivated to change things for the better with that.
Also, today, Mary Still plans to officially announce her candidacy for the 25th district race. The democrat has worked in the attorney general's office and with former governor Bob Holden. Others already in the race include . republican Ryan Ashbridge and democrat Sean Spence. Current 25th district representative Judy Baker is not seeking re-election because she is running for the 9th congressional district seat.
