Senators voted to adjourn the special session after Gov. Sean Parnell pulled oil tax reform legislation off the table. They said the one remaining agenda item, gas pipeline legislation, isn't likely to go anywhere. About 600 kids are gathering in Anchorage for Native Youth Olympics for friendly compeition in games such as the high kick, seal hope, and wrist carry. The public can safely dispose of unwanted prescription medications Saturday on National Drug Collection Day.
