2/21/12 News - The Legislature is considering a bill to reinstate the coastal management program. Meanwhile a ballot initiative on the program will go to voters if the Legislature doesn't act. ANCHORAGE, AK (kbc) - House Bill 324 would reinstate the Alaska Coastal Management Program, which closed last year after the Governor and Legislators failed to reach agreement on the role of local communities in the program. A citizen's initiative to reinstate the program will go before voters if the Legislature doesn't act.
