3/1/12 News - A Senate committee passes a bill to create an Alaska Water and Sewer Task Force; The Iditarod Sled dog race to kick off this weekend ANCHORAGE, AK (kbc) - The Senate Community and Regional Affairs committee passed SB 147, which would create a nine-member Alaska Water and Sewer Task Force to find ways to get sanitation systems into the remaining 6,000 households without. The Task Force would develop a report and recommendations for next year's Legislature. Sixty-six mushers are signed up to run the Iditard Sled Dog Race, which kicks off Saturday. © Copyright 2013, kbc
