2/3/12 News - The Seward Hwy was closed due an avalanche; President Barack Obama has signed a disaster declaration for storm damage on the Kenai Peninsula; The Northern Waters Task Force reports on climate change and the Arctic to Legislators ANCHORAGE, AK (kbc) - An avalanche blocked road access to the Kenai Peninsula from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., while traffic was delayed in other parts of the road as crews shot cannons into the mountains to release snow that might otherwise later fall on to the highway.
