Last Train The sound of the band is sometimes described as grunge meets twang meets punk. It is familiar, Americana and Alt-country and fits right in on KNBA.
“Comprised of Mark Ward, Steve Padrick, Ted Rosenzweig and Matt Janssen, the band describes themselves as “a melding of ideas as each one of us taps into a love for just about every kind of American music out there.” Anchorage Press, March 09

The Whipsaws 60 WATT AVENUE (current CD)
This is the follow-up to their 2006 debut. This Alaskan band sounds
like Drive-By Truckers channelling Wilco (Seven Long Years), Neil
Young (rousing cover of Mr.Soul) and both on anti-war anthem The War.
Unafraid to rock out, but their best songs are mid-to-downtempo: banjo
and steel ballad Lonesome Joe and great Gram-via-Tweedy country rocker.
