Concert Celebrates Music Education MONTEREY (kazu) - Music education will be celebrated this weekend in a joint concert by the non-profit organizations Youth Music Monterey and Orchestra in the Schools.
"We feel like Monterey is community that believes and puts a high value in music and all of the arts. So we want people in the community to realize what's been happening in the schools. That they've had a hard time, and if people believe that music is a valuable part of the community, we hope they contribute what they can to the fight to preserve it," said YMM Orchestra Manager Chris Sentieri. The "All Together Now" concert is Sunday, April 27th at Sherwood Hall in Salinas at 2:00pm. Listen to the audio postcard to hear what the concert is all about.
