Growers, Vintners optimistic about wine harvest SOLEDAD, CA AND MARINA, CA (kazu) - It's harvest time in Monterey County wine country. Pinot Noir grapes grow well in the Santa Lucia Highlands. This year it's a small harvest, but the quality is great. KAZU's Rachael McDonald went to the field and the cellar to get the sounds of harvest. First she visited grower Joe Alarid in his vineyards near Soledad.
