The 2013-14 Arkansas State University-Newport Concert/Lecture Series will continue Jan. 30 with a noon Brown Bag Lecture from author and outdoorsman Bryan Hendricks in the ASUN Student/Community Center.
Hendricks, Outdoor Editor for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, will entertain the lunchtime audience with tales and images from his long career in the outdoors. In addition to working for several newspapers, Hendricks has worked for two state wildlife management agencies. He was the news manager for the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation from 1998-2000, and was the managing editor of Missouri Conservationist from 2000-2005. He is also a prolific freelance writer and photographer, with more than 1,000 credits in approximately 80 outlets. Hendricks has co-authored five books about hunting and fishing, and in addition to being entertaining, will be an excellent source of information for local hunters and fishermen.
Admission to all of ASUNís Concert/Lecture Series events is free and the public is invited.
