Total Life Healthcare, a Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), will host an open house at its new location at 505 East Matthews Ave. from 3 to 5 in the afternoon on Thursday, Feb. 28. The PACE program operated by East Arkansas Area Agency on Aging and St. Bernards provides continuous care and services to people who are eligible for nursing home care while allowing them to continue to live in the community. Participants have access to a comprehensive system of care encompassing preventive, primary, acute, personal and long-term care – all designed to ensure the health and well being of the individual. The Total Life Healthcare program was the first PACE program approved in a rural area in Arkansas, and it has been assisting older residents since August of 2005. It serves more than 100 residents in a seven-county area of Northeast Arkansas that includes Craighead, Cross, Greene, Lawrence, Mississippi, Poinsett and Randolph. Recently the program relocated from a site near the St. Bernards Senior Life Center on Washington Avenue to the ground level of 505 East Matthews where there is a covered entrance and ample parking. Additional information on program services can be secured by calling Total Life Healthcare at 870-207-7500.
