The Arkansas State University Small Business and Technology Development Center, Arkansas Procurement Assistance Center along with the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Jonesboro Association will offer “Get Started with Government Contracting” Seminar Tuesday, March 5th from 1-4 pm in room 201 at the ASU Delta Center for Economic Development. Federal, state and local government agencies contract with thousands of small businesses every year buying everything from paper clips to space ships…from landscaping services to computer software…and more. The Federal government alone will buy over $500 BILLION in products and services each year. 20%+ of all contracts MUST be awarded to small businesses! At this workshop small business owners will learn how to tap into government contracting opportunities, challenges of working with government agencies and assistance programs available to help break into the market. The Instructors will be David Jerome and Delbert Taylor with Arkansas Procurement Assistance Center. The Arkansas Assistance Procurement Center provides free consulting assistance to small businesses to break into government contracting opportunities…Federal, state and local. Attendees will learn about the assistance available from APAC as well as how to tap into this market by working with contracting professionals. There is NO CHARGE for the workshop but due to limited seating attendees MUST PRE-REGISTER.
