KAMU-TV Summer Pledge Drive Starts Saturday
The schedule for the KAMU-TV Summer Pledge drive is as follows:
Saturday, May 31, Christine McDonald and Hospice Brazos Valley will be answering phones and taking pledges. KAMU programs, Lawrence Welk and Austin City Limits with Van Morrison, will be aired.
Sunday, June 1, we will have the volunteers from TEEX manning the pledge lines. KAMU programs, Nature will air and America and the Passenger Train will follow.
Monday, June 2, John and Cathy Godfrey and Bonnie and Stan Kistler will be taking pledges. KAMU programs, the Antiques Roadshow and Real Answers with Dr. Greg Baer, will air.
Tuesday, June 3, NOVA will be airing, as well as special program, Fight Alzheimer's Early: 6 Steps to Keep Your Brain Young with Dr. Majid Fotuhi.
Wednesday, June 4, KAMU programs, International Boogie Woogie and Dr. Denese: The Science of Youth, will be presented.
Thursday, June 5, Andy Cooney: An Evening of Irish Classics will air, as well as, The Emotion of Money featuring Susan McCarthy.
Friday, June 6, KAMU will present Jonathon Bird's Blue World and America's Team: Being a U.S. Air Force Thunderbird.
Saturday, June 7, Crane Song will be airing on KAMU and Austin City Limits with R.E.M. will follow.
Sunday, June 8, volunteers from Easterwood Airport will be answering your calls and taking pledges. KAMU programs, American Standards: Unforgettable or the Best is Yet to Come and One Six Right: The Romance of Flying, will air.
We want to thank local Bryan/College Station restaurants: Olive Garden, TGI Friday's, On the Border and Buffalo Wild Wings for providing food for the duration of the KAMU-TV Summer Pledge drive.
We owe our success to our community partners who contribute their time, money, food and services to making the KAMU-TV Summer Pledge drive possible. It is time for the KAMU-TV Summer Pledge drive! The Pledge begins this Saturday, May 31 and will run through Sunday, June 8. Each day we will have different shows airing, various organizations manning the phones and food provided by local Bryan/College Station restaurants. Each evening special programming will air at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. This is a critical pledge drive and we urge you to tune in.
