Prestigious Award for KAMU/TTVN Employee
Assistant Director of Engineering at Educational Broadcast Services (KAMU/TTVN), Wayne Pecena has been honored with the President's Meritorious Service Award. The award was presented December 11, 2007 at special ceremony on the A&M Campus.
Educational Broadcast Services (EBS) General Manager, Rod Zent stated,
'Wayne is a senior member of the EBS staff. He plays a key role in the daily operation of EBS. He is a master planner who continually studies, learns and embraces the technology we use as that technology continues to change and mature. It is clear he has dedicated his career to Texas A&M and is well deserving of this recognition.'
Pecena began his career at EBS as a student worker in 1973, and has been in his current position as Assistant Director for Engineering for the past 24 years. During that time he has been responsible for the technical evolution of nearly all EBS technology changes.
The award was presented to a total of 20 staff members at TAMU and one team award.
