Flu Prevention Seminar Announced

(kamu) - Every year, 10%-20% of the United States population gets the flu. Of those, 114,000 are hospitalized from flu complications and about 36,000 people die from flu. People over the age of 65 and children from the age of 6 to 23 months are at high risk for complications from the flu.

Please join us for a discussion on Flu Prevention brought to you by the Brazos County Health Department and St. Joseph Healthy Communities. Beth Fitzgerald, RN will present valuable information on how to practice good health habits in hopes of preventing the flu.

The seminar is FREE and will be held Thursday, November 1, 2007 at 6:00 pm at the Brazos County Health Department Classroom, 201 N. Texas Ave., Bryan (Corner of William J. Bryan and Texas Avenue). Those that attend will receive a coupon fro $5 off flu shots provided by the Brazos County Health Department.
