VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - Residence Hall Move-In Assistance Day
Teams of volunteers are being formed to assist students and parents in moving their personal belongings into the residence halls. The volunteer effort will have a significant impact on one of our biggest challenges - to reduce unloading time at the designated unloading zones and to keep traffic moving. With your help we are determined to minimize inconveniences. As a volunteer, you will be provided with free parking in the Southside Parking Garage and a distinctive Residence Hall Move-In Day t-shirt so incoming students and parents will easily recognize you. A brief orientation session will be held for all volunteers who choose to participate.
All members of the University community - faculty, staff, and especially student organizations - are encouraged to volunteer time on Sunday, August 19, to help with the residence hall move-in process. If you would be willing to assist new and returning students and parents, please complete and return the volunteer application form as soon as possible, but no later than Wednesday, August 1. Volunteer application forms are available at http://reslife.tamu.edu.
Please consider taking time to volunteer for this important effort to show new students and their parents our Aggie Hospitality. If you have questions, please call the Department of Residence Life at 862-3158, or e-mail housing@tamu.edu.
