Lions Club International's annual 4th of July Celebration

(kamu) - For the eighth year, the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum and Texas A&M University will host the Lions Club International's annual 4th of July Celebration, I Love America. The Museum will open at 9:30 a.m. and remain open until 8:00 p.m. There will be entertainment and games for the children starting at 5:30 p.m. with costumed characters such as George and Martha Washington, Harriett Tubman, Benjamin Franklin, Amelia Earhart along with many others mingling with the crowd to pose for photographs and answer questions about their distinguished careers. Other entertainment includes the Texas Unlimited Band TUB and an Elvis impersonator Jason Adams will begin immediately following the B-52 fly-over at 6:45 p.m. The evening will culminate with a spectacular fireworks display and concert by the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra. Guests are encouraged to come early and bring their lawn chairs, picnic baskets and blankets (No glass containers please). Funding for the festivities is provided by: Texas A&M University, the College Station Noon Lions Club, the cities of College Station and Bryan, the George Bush Presidential Library Foundation and George Bush Presidential Library & Museum. Funding for the Symphony is provided by: The City of Bryan, Scott & White Health Plan, and Scott & White Clinic College Station.
