Traffic Switch On Texas Avenue Between Holleman And FM 2818 (Harvey Mitchell Pkwy) COLLEGE STATION,TX (kamu) - Beginning on Monday evening, May 21, 2007, at 7pm, the Texas Department
of Transportation*s (TxDOT) contractor will shift traffic on Texas Avenue between Holleman Drive and FM 2818 (Harvey Mitchell Parkway). Police officers will assist in the traffic switch to ensure the safe transition onto the new traffic lanes.

Texas Avenue southbound traffic will be shifted onto the newly constructed concrete pavement completed in Phase III and left turns for both northbound and southbound traffic will be restricted to signalized intersections and final median openings. This traffic switch marks the beginning of Phase IV work which begins construction of the remaining middle section of Texas Avenue with concrete pavement and raised medians between Holleman and FM 2818 (Harvey Mitchell Parkway).

Drivers are asked to please be alert during this traffic switch and
obey construction warning signs in the work area. This traffic switch
is part of the $17 million dollar construction project to provide Texas
Avenue with six continuous through lanes and a raised median from George
Bush Drive to FM 2818 (Harvey Mitchell Parkway).
