Texas PBS Now Hiring An Underwriting Account Executive COLLEGE STATION, TX (kamu) -

Texas PBS is offering a unique opportunity for a talented media sales professional to sell underwriting sponsorships for public television. The Texas PBS Stations are looking for a media sales representative to focus on corporate underwriting opportunities. This person would be located in or near the Dallas/Fort Worth area to assist in building relationships with advertising agencies that represent Texas businesses.

The job description is as follows:

• Work as a team with Texas station staff to maximize corporate underwriting potential in Texas
• Responsible for the research of program underwriting including the study of potential underwriter's company, products and interests
• Contacts and arranges meetings with potential underwriters
• Develops presentations and proposals for underwriting prospects
• Discusses and negotiates underwriting of a particular program or series
• Prepares contracts, discusses terms, and obtains signatures
• Works with clients and station staff to ensure underwriting language meets Federal Communication Commission (FCC) Guidelines
• Works with stations to ensure proper placement of underwriters' logos and spots
• Maintains periodic contact with underwriters and follows up regarding renewals
• Maintains file of current, potential, and past underwriters

Skills include:

• Team player who is willing to work with account executives from other stations
• A proven track record in outside sales. Media sales experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently from a remote office
• Highly motivated and results-oriented
• Ability to build strong, long lasting client relationships
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Some travel may be required
