An Hour with Leon Fleisher by Host Alan Farley Alan talks with pianist Leon Fleisher, who recently celebrated his eightieth birthday. He talks about growing up in San Francisco, and making his debut with the WPA Orchestra here when he was ten years old, and about receiving the Kennedy Center Honors last year.
His recent recordings of music by Beethoven, Brahms and Scarlatti are included. [First broadcast in November, 2008]
