Slim Willet, best remembered as the composer of “Don’t Let the Stars Get in Your Eyes," was born in 1919 just a few miles down the road from Desdemona, Texas. This Saturday, you’ll have an opportunity to learn about Willet (actually born Winston Lee Moore) and how he came by his oil patch songs. You’ll also have an opportunity to hear them, for this will be a multi-media presentation with sounds as well as words. |
