The United Action for Youth (UAY) School of the Arts is a ten session, studio arts program that is open to all junior high and high school students. Young artists will create original art work with the instruction of talented Art Education Students at the University of Iowa. Students can choose from the following mediums/projects: printmaking, fiber arts, street art, stop animation, comic books, and sculpture. The 2014 School of the Arts program will be held on Thursdays from 3:30-5:30pm beginning February 27th and will be held in the basement of North Hall located at the north end of Madison Street on the University of Iowa campus. On May 1st, the final day of the program, an art show and reception for parents will be held at the UAY Art Gallery. The registration fee for the UAY School of the Arts is $100. A limited number of partial scholarships are available.
