Former Senate Majority Leader and Special Envoy for Middle East Peace George Mitchell will be the speaker for the 11th Coe College Contemporary Issues Forum on Tuesday, Feb. 4, at 7:30 p.m. in Sinclair Auditorium.
An engaging speaker with a deserved international reputation for defusing some of the world's most complicated situations, Mitchell will offer insight on foreign policy and the current state of the U.S. political climate. Few negotiators have the reputation, tenacity and track record of Sen. Mitchell. The former senate majority leader has been tapped to forge peace treaties, investigate scandals, lead corporations, and navigate sensitive international conflicts.
Established by the late K. Raymond Clark '30, the Contemporary Issues Forum presents the views of distinguished leaders whose work has shaped and altered the course of world events.
