A Rivers runs through it - economic development BOISE, IDAHO (idaho) - Think back to the year 2000 before Boise's Bodo existed. You'll recall things looked a lot different in downtown Boise. In that one decade 2000-2010 the real estate boom and the flush, giddy economic times helped to transform downtown Boise into a vibrant, modern, livable place.
Fast forward to 2010. Businesses in downtown Boise and all over the state and country are struggling to stay afloat in a brutal economy.
