Art and Soul-Claire Davis
Guy Hand (2008-09-17)
Art and Soul-Claire Davis
LEWISTON, ID (idaho) - Claire Davis didn't start out a "Western" writer. She grew up in Wisconsin and lived a life laid out as straight as a midwestern road. She was a married mother who'd spent a decade working for the local phone company. But as she neared middle-age, her life got a lot less linear. In this installment of Art and Soul, correspondent Guy Hand talks to award-winning Idaho novelist Claire Davis about how writing and the West transformed her.
