Idaho Delegate: Clinton's Speech "Very Powerful"
by George Prentice (2008-08-27)
BOISE, ID (idaho) - Hillary Clinton's speech Tuesday night to the Democratic National Convention was a "very powerful" moment at the convention, said Jim Hansen, executive director of the Idaho Democratic Party.

"It was very powerful, very emotional. People were moved throughout the evening... in the convention you see lots of people connecting with each other," Hansen said.

"I think even more so yesterday because of the rich competition that has been part of the campaign over the last year," Hansen added.

"This was a culminating event that brought people together," he said.

Hansen also noted that Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer's speech on Tuesday was "engaging" and popular with the convention attendees. Schweitzer emphasized Western values, which he said included bipartisan efforts in government.
