Refugee Kids with Olympic-sized Dreams
(2008-08-22)
BOISE, ID (idaho) - Through the past two weeks of the Summer Olympics, we've been meeting some of the Olympians of tomorrow, or at least Idaho kids with world-class dreams.
Each summer, the Boise Park and Recreation Department hosts the "Hershey" games, where children compete in track and field events. Boise State Radio's George Prentice caught up with a group of future track stars at the Davis Community Center in North Boise. They also happen to be refugee children, from Afghanistan, Somalia and Russia.
