Idaho StoryCorps Project - The Night The Lights Went Out In Shoshone
Samantha Wright and Krisi Packer (2008-08-05)
Idaho StoryCorps Project: Emmons-Part II
BOISE, ID (idaho) - Conversation by conversation, interview by interview, StoryCorps is collecting the stories and voices of our time. The Idaho voices were captured at the mobile Storycorps booth parked outside Boise City Hall this Spring. One of those voices was Robert Emmons. In May, we brought you his story from World War II. But Robert Emmons had another story to tell. After the war, he took up flying. In this edition of the Idaho Storycorps Project, his wife Betty and daughter Dianne Jurries talk with him about a family plane ride from Las Vegas to Sun Valley, which was the night the lights went out in Shoshone.
