Hostel To City Hall BOISE (idaho) - In January Boise's city council will have an empty chair as Vern Bisterfeldt moves to the Ada County commission. Mayor Dave Beiter has just a few short weeks to appoint someone to fill that chair, but he has a big field to narrow down. 53 people applied for the job. This week we're getting to know some of the people who want to serve their fellow Boiseans on the city council. Today Boise State Public Radio's Adam Cotterell takes us to what may be a surprising place to find a hopeful appointee to a governmental office.
