Waiting for the Numbers
Adam Cotterell (2009-11-06)

BOISE IDAHO (idaho) - The recession is over! The economy is improving! Stocks are up, corporations making profits again! We've heard a lot of hype lately. But are you feeling more secure? Do you know someone who's been laid off? How secure is your job? Unemployment figures will be released later today both nationally and for Idaho. The reason these numbers are so important: Until someone starts hiring it's hard to call whatever is happening out there - a recovery. Boise state radio's Adam Cotterell explains why the monthly unemployment numbers are a sort of superstar statistic.
