Common Ground With Portland
Adam Cotterell (2009-06-19)
BOISE IDAHO (idaho) - If you're in downtown Boise Saturday things may look a little different. People may be wearing brighter colors, maybe looking just a bit more festive than usual. That's because it's the annual gay pride parade. The parade is one of the events of pride week. It's probably the one that gets the most attention, but the culminating event of the week is a concert. Nationally acclaimed Portland Gay Men's Chorus will be in town to sing with Boise's Common Ground, a local gay and strait chorus. As Boise State Radio's Adam Cotterell reports, gay choruses have played an important role in the gay community. But it's a role that's evolving. © Copyright 2009, idaho
