Back for the fourth time… Join us for this always popular and awesome program on everything sheep! This is a very special day as we allow sheepdogs to strut their stuff, herding sheep and showing off their incredible skills (normally no dogs are allowed on FLC grounds). Sheep will be shorn and you can touch the lanolin filled wool. You’ll also be able to see and purchase some beautiful hand-crafted wool and sheep products and there will be hands-on activities for your kids! Pull up some shade and listen to some tunes by the wonderful Gary & Cindy Braun. This is a great day for the whole family to venture into the Foothills, brush up against a bit of history and learn about current sheep herding practices. Don’t forget your lunch money if you want to enjoy the BBQ lamb lunch and other treats. There’s no cost to attend and no need to pre-register! Please leave your pets at home. Parking is limited. PLEASE TAKE OUR FREE SHUTTLE to the Foothills Learning Center for Sheep in the Foothills! Shuttle Location: Fort Boise Community Center, 700 Robbins Road (behind the Elks Rehab Center in downtown Boise) Schedule: Shuttle will leave Fort Boise every half hour starting at 10:00 a.m. (10, 10:30, 11, 11:30, 12) Last shuttle leaves at 12 noon!
