Podcast

A podcast is a multimedia file that is distributed by subscription (paid or unpaid) over the Internet using syndication
feeds, for playback on mobile devices and personal computers. Like radio, it can mean both the content and the method
of broadcast. The latter may also be termed podcasting. The host or author of a podcast is often called a podcaster.

Though podcasters web sites may also offer direct download or streaming of their content, a podcast is distinguished from
other digital audio formats by its ability to be downloaded automatically using software capable of reading feed formats
such as RSS or Atom.

Wherever you find yourself in the Saturday midnight hours - heading home from a night on the town, traveling a dark, lonely highway, or snuggled up with someone you love - Open Range is the perfect companion. High Plains Public Radio's own Stephen Johnson takes you through with one sound... good music. Stephen weaves music as diverse as the colors of a tapestry into a beautiful soundtrack. The pallet could have the shades of classic Ella Fitzgerald, the hues of contemporary soulful Amanda Marshall, tints of poet Lyle Lovett, the rugged dyes of Bruce Springsteen, or perhaps even the soft watercolor twang of Hank Thompson.
